Expired Prescriptions? Drop Them at Fire Station 1 April 28

National Medicine Cabinet Roundup is April 28 and Beachwood Fire will take your unused prescription drugs

If you have unwanted or expired prescriptions in your home, the and will take them off your hands later this month.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is April 28 and residents can drop drugs off at between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Pharmicists will collect the drugs and dispose of them properly. It's a confidential program - they will not ask you for your name or other personal information - and they ask that you take the labels off medications before dropping them off.

The program is geared toward fighting recreational use of prescription drugs and is run by Operation Medicine Cabinet, according to the city's website.
