Drunken, Suspended Driver With Open Beer Crashes into Mall Snowbank

A man was arrested at the Beachwood Place Mall after police say he drove drunk and crashed into a snowbank with open beer in his car and a suspended driver’s license.

The man crashed his car at 9:43 p.m. Dec. 30.

When they arrived, they discovered the man also had a suspended license and two arrest warrants.

The man was charged with having an open container in a public place, reckless operation, driving under suspension. His wife was also charged for allowing him to drive her car.

He was not injured during the crash but during jail booking, the man became ill and was hospitalized.
