Something about this story just doesn't add up for me. I'm not trying to discredit the victim, but somethings just doesn't add up. For one why did she go outside behind the establishment and smoke alone? Was she not a Burger and fries with other friends, or her boyfriend perhaps? Why did they not accompany her outside especially after a night of boozing, which is what it sounds like to me? Second out of all frequented commercial areas in Cleveland Heights, I would definitely say that Coventry has the largest police presence. Anytime I go down to Coventry the police are diligently doing their "duty"of writing parking tickets. Where the hell were these "police officers" when this poor girl was getting raped?

This goes to further prove my previous statements about the police. The police are not here to save you, the only person that can save you is yourself. The police are here to take the "report" and do the "paper work" long after you have been violated and the perpetrator has fled. Oh yeah and sometimes the police murder two unarmed citizens by firing squad with 136 bullets. Talk about over kill and excessive force. They then go on record in tears about how scared they were during the ordeal. The cops that have guns and mace and night sticks, and tazers and AR-15's and back up are scared? For shame. Think how the two victims felt as their bodies were torn to shreds by 136 bullets? Tax dollars hard at work. Just for future reference if you are some scared sorry excuse for a man do not, I repeat do not join the police force. Do us all a favor and go to church. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Don't blame the victim. It could be your daughter or mother or sister. Never blame the victim. But why was she not taken to UH only a minute away instead of Hillcrest which is much, much farther. When I was a victim of that same horrific and permanently traumatic crime in that same area they took me to UH. the perp turned out to be a repeat rapist who had just gotten out of prison for same crime. He got convicted again, luckily. Never blame the victim. It is too painful already.

Maybe if you weren't parading around the street like a Harlot this wouldn't have happened, Food for thought? And this whole don't blame the victim thing is totally not logical. As sentient beings we make choices, these choices then have consequences, good, or bad. If you had done something different this wouldn't have happened to you. If you are in the wrong place at the wrong time. YOU are in the wrong place at the wrong time. I love women and believe they should be protected. With that being said, I repeatedly see them make unsafe choices. Experience is the best teachers. Don't jump in the water if you are afraid to get wet. That is all.
