Restaurant recognizes silver-stealing bill-skipper

Tuesday, Oct. 9, 12:48 p.m. — A manager at Ruby Tuesday called police about an unwanted customer who he said was causing a disturbance. The manager told police that the man has been in the restaurant before and he stole silverware and skipped out on his bill. The staff asked him to leave and he would not, the manager said. Police arrived and told the man to leave and he did.

$10,000 ring stolen

Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2:19 p.m. — A ring valued at $10,000 was reported stolen from a desk drawer at the Montefiore Home.

Caller witnesses driver taken from car

Tuesday, Oct. 9, 7:10 p.m. — A caller told police that he saw a driver pull another driver from his car on Chagrin Boulevard and Richmond Road and put him in his own car. Police did not find the suspect or his vehicle.
