Man accused of exposing himself, driving with expired license

Feb. 8, 8:40 p.m.Witnesses reported that a man was both exposing himself and driving recklessly near the intersection of Richmond Road and Chagrin Boulevard.

Police stopped his vehicle and he was charged with public indecency, having an open container in the car and driving with an expired license.

Feb. 8, 9:15 p.m.What was initially thought to be a burglar may have been an animal that was trapped inside of a house on Sherwood Court.

The resident returned home Friday evening and found something evidence that something had been in their home. Concerned about a burglar, they called the police department.

However, police saw no indication of a burglary. Instead, they think an animal had trapped itself inside of the house and caused a bit of a mess while trying to escape.

Feb. 9, 2:30 p.m.Beachwood police arrested two girls who are accused of shoplifting $172 worth of merchandise from the Dillard's in Beachwood Place.

Man accused of driving with breath-alcohol level at more than twice the legal limit

Feb. 10, 1:30 a.m.Police arrested a man on suspicion of driving while drunk after he ran into the curb on Richmond Road near the intersection with S. Woodland Road.

According to the charges he faces, police believe the man's breath-alcohol content was more than 0.17. The legal level to drive is beneath 0.08.

The man is accused of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and failing to stay within marked lanes.
