Beachwood Police Searching For Robbery Suspect at Highland Park Golf Course

Beachwood and Shaker Heights police are working together to search for a man they say robbed a bank, our news partners at WEWS News Channel 5 report.

Officers have shut down Highland Park Golf Course, WEWS reports, and are working together to search for the suspect.

The PNC Bank in Shaker Heights was robbed this afternoon, WEWS reports, but police would not confirm they are looking for the man who robbed the bank.

Police have evacuated the course and are urging people to stay away if possible.

Just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, a man jumped over the counter at PNC Bank on Chagrin Boulevard and robbed tellers at gunpoint, WEWS reports.

Fox8 adds that the suspect headed east on Chagrin with a black trash bag containing the stolen cash and that police also searched a nearby cemetery for the man.
