Tuesday, July 26 1:32 p.m. — A Richmond Road resident reported that their city trash can was stolen from the curb.

Tuesday, July 26 10:35 p.m. — A 26-year-old Penhurst Drive man accused his mother of stealing $4,000 to $6,000 of losing lottery tickets and $500 to $600 of collector coins from his bedroom.

Man arrested for open container, drunken driving

Thursday, July 28, 6:45 p.m. — A man was arrested on Interstate 271 south near Chagrin Boulevard and charged with drunken driving, speeding and having an open container.

Men steal iPhone from Legacy Verizon

Thursday, July 28, 9:10 p.m. — Lyndhurst Police asked Beachwood Police to help search for three men who stole an iPhone from the Verizon store in Legacy Village and ran on foot.

Construction workers ask for police help with speeders

Friday, July 29 1:30 p.m. — Construction workers reported several cars speeding through their work zone on Shaker Boulevard eastbound near the Agnon School. Police responded to give special attention to the area.

Two arrested for shoplifting

Friday, July 29 9:14 p.m. — Two males were arrested at Saks Fifth Avenue at the Beachwood Place Mall and charged with shoplifting a pair of jeans valued at $240.

Car flips on I-271

Monday, Aug. 1 1:37 a.m. — A car flipped three or four times on Interstate 271 in the southbound express lanes, a caller reported. The express lanes were shut down and a woman was taken by medical helicopter to Ahuja Medical Center.

People grill in pool parking lot

Sunday, July 31 8:56 p.m. — Someone called police because people were grilling food in the parking lot of the Family Aquatic Center. Police responded and told them they were not allowed to grill there and they left.

Non-members asked to leave JCC basketball courts

Sunday, July 31 9:07 p.m. — Mandel Jewish Community Center security called the police to stand by while a large group of non-members were asked to leave the outdoor basketball courts.

Caller: Juveniles threw something in East Haven pool

Sunday, July 31 11:53 p.m. — Someone called police and reported that juveniles had thrown something in the pool at the East Haven Clubhouse and damaged its gate lock. The kids on scene said that they did not do it.

Women heard screaming were afraid of mouse

Monday, Aug. 1 12:23 a.m. — A Duffield Road resident reported that a female was screaming in a neighbor’s home. When an officer responded, the two women in the neighbor’s home told him that their dog had brought a mouse into the home and they were screaming because of it.

Car keyed in Commerce Park Square

Monday, Aug. 1 11:41 a.m. — A woman reported that someone keyed her car while it was parked at 23230 Chagrin Blvd.
