$5,000 necklace stolen from home

Monday, Aug. 29, 1:01 p.m. — A Hurlingham Road resident reported that a $5,000 necklace had been stolen from the home.

Monday, Aug. 29, 4:33 p.m. — Montefiore Home reported that two envelopes with a total of $485 in cash were taken from the building.

Tuesday, Aug. 30, 6:59 p.m. — Police report that a man stole an iPad 2 and iPod Touch, valued at $906, from at the on Aug. 30 and that a man stole an iPad valued at $670 from the store on Aug. 29.

Caller: Crossing guard neglecting duties

Wednesday, Aug. 31, 10:30 a.m. — Police received a complaint that a crossing guard at Woodland and Richmond Roads was sitting inside a car on Brucefield Road, too far to see that children were crossing safely.

Bike stolen from Beachwood High School

Wednesday, Aug. 31, 4 p.m. — A bike was reported stolen from between 8:55 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Chickens on the loose

Wednesday, Aug. 31, 6:25 p.m. — A resident of the 2100 block of Richmond Road reported that his neighbor’s "poultry" were running loose in his yard. The neighbor put food out to lure the chickens home and no charges were filed.
