Beachwood 100 to Award First Responders' Kids

Local nonprofit to present scholarships to four recent high school graduates whose parents are Beachwood police or firefighters

The Beachwood 100 will hold a ceremony to honor the children of four Beachwood and personnel with college scholarships.

Established in 1969, the Beachwood 100 is a nonprofit organization that works to help the families of Beachwood first responders.

The organization's dues are donated or loaned to the families during personal emergencies. The group is not affiliated with the Fraternal Order of Police and no city employees or elected officials may sit on its board.
