Andrea Sneiderman's Defense Does Not Request Change of Venue

As of Friday, trial will be held in DeKalb County, where Beachwood native Russell Sneiderman was murdered in 2010.

From Dunwoody Patch:

The deadline for Andrea Sneiderman's lawyers to seek a change of venue in the case has passed without lawyers filing a pre-trial motion, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

Sneiderman is accused of conspiring with her former boss, Hemy Neuman, to kill her husband and Beachwood native Russell Sneiderman in November of 2010.

The deadline means that Sneiderman's attorneys won't seek a change of venue under normal circumstances, but could still do so if they face difficulty assembling a jury who hasn't heard of the highly publicized trial.

Sneiderman's attorneys are also petitioning to have a third man, Joseph Dell, removed from the wintness list.

“No evidence exists to support an inference of any romantic relationship between defendant and Joseph Dell prior to the death of Rusty Sneiderman,” the motion states, adding “there is nothing in the discovery to substantiate such a claim. If so, the state also needs to withdraw the existing indictment.”

The trial is now under Judge Gregory Adams in DeKalb County Superior Court.

Sneiderman faces an eight count indictment for alleged involvement of the murder of her husband, Rusty Sneiderman. Rusty Sneiderman was killed outside of a Dunwoody daycare in 2010.
