I can't believe the police released this information about the pool party. I thought the police blotter was only shoplifters and drunk drivers. Maybe the police chief is on vacation and the blotter report was submitted by his substitute?

Hey, Joseph! Thanks for the inquiry. Actually, police incident reports are public records. The department doesn't submit information to me - I go through the reports and publish the most relevant incidents.

Got it. Maybe it was another local publication where I saw that the police pick out the information. I'd be most interested to know about things like home burglaries or scam artists working the area, things that could affect any resident.

Great to hear, Joseph! I include every home burglary, and fortunately, we don't see a lot of them in Beachwood. And you bring up a good point! Perhaps I'll put together an interactive map of the burglaries in the past year so readers can see exactly how many there have been and where. Off the top of my head, I'd venture to say there have been less than a dozen this year.
