Three taken to the hospital after a tow truck and car collide

Feb. 4, 6:30 a.m. Three people were taken to the hospital after a car and tow truck collided on the southbound express lanes of Interstate 271.

The driver of the car -- a 33-year-old woman from Willowick -- was transported to Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights.

The driver of the tow truck -- a 52-year-old man from Indiana -- and his passenger -- a 39-year-old woman, also from Indiana -- were take to the University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood.

Employee suspected of shoplifting from Nordstrom

Feb. 5, 12:01 p.m.A woman who works at Nordstrom was arrested on a charge of theft.

She is accused of shoplifting $410 worth of merchandise.

Man with suspended driver's license is accused of driving while drunk

Feb. 4, 12:44 a.m.A man with a suspended license was arrested while driving near the intersection of Ranch and Green roads.

He was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, failing to maintain reasonable control of his car, having an open container and driving with a suspended license.
