See Playmakers Youth Theatre's Music Man, Jr. May 3 to 13

The Mandel JCC's Playmakers Youth Theatre brings a classic musical to life with "Music Man, Jr" May 3-13.

The Playmakers Youth Theatre will bring a classic musical to life when it presents “Music Man, Jr.” Complete with well-known and toe-tapping tunes and a charming loves story, “Music Man, Jr.” features a talented cast of 3rd-8th graders. Songs like “76 Trombones,” “Pick a Little, Talk a Little” and “Till There Was You” highlight the delightful tale of con man Harold Hill posing as a boys’ band organizer in small town Gary, Indiana and falling for prim and proper “Marian the Librarian.”

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sundays from May 3-13, 2012 at Fairmount Temple, 23737 Fairmount Blvd., Beachwood. Advance tickets ($8 JCC members, seniors & students /$10 adults) can be purchased by calling the box office at (216) 831-0700 ext.1230. Playmakers Youth Theatre, under the direction of Sheri Gross, is a dynamic Jewish youth theater program that emphasizes self-confidence, creativity, teamwork and an appreciation for the performing arts among its young performers. In addition to welcoming children of all levels of talent, Playmakers is an inclusive program that is also wonderfully accessible and rewarding for all children and youth including those with disabilities or physical limitations.
