Connie Schultz at Fairmount Temple

Fairmount Temple's Brotherhood is pleased to welcome nationally syndicated columnist and Pulitzer Prize winner Connie Schultz to the opening Sunday Morning Forum on Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. Bagels and coffee will be available at 9:30 a.m.  Her talk, titled, "Life Happens," is also the title of her first book in which she reflects on her working class parents and the sacrifices they made to put their kids through college.

In 2005, Connie won the Pulitzer for Commentary for her Plain Dealer columns that judges praised for providing “a voice for the underdog and underprivileged.” She was a finalist in 2003 for Feature Writing for a series she wrote about a man who was imprisoned for 13 years for a rape he did not commit. As a syndicated columnist, her column appears regularly in Parade Magazine.
