Beachwood Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Luncheon

Beachwood – The Beachwood Chamber of
Commerce has announced that Sports and
Spine Physical Therapy, Inc. has been named Business of the Year, The Gathering Place the Civic
Organization of the Year and Paula
Rollins its Citizen of the Year in its annual 2013 Awards Program.

Selection criteria
ranged from: 1) a for-profit business demonstrating outstanding growth,
achievement in the workplace and strong commitment to economic well being, 2) a
civic organization which has shown outstanding civic commitment and social
responsibility and 3) a Beachwood resident who has volunteered time and service
above and beyond expectations and demonstrated exceptional involvement in civic
activities.

The winners will
be recognized at a special luncheon December 18 at the newly renovated Embassy
Suites Hotel, Park East Drive in Beachwood. 
The “blue ribbon” selection committee included Karen Carmen (City of
Beachwood), Ryan Peters (Beachwood City Schools) and Bill Kelly (Beachwood
Library).

In addition, a
special Taste of Beachwood Award will be presented to Park East Grill at
Embassy Suites as the People's Choice and Ben & Jerry's (University
Heights) for Best Presentation.  Rounding
out the awards ceremony, Bruce Newburger, Dynamics Online is the 2013 Ohio
Chamber of Commerce Bright Star while Fitness Challenge awards go to DDR in the
large business category and Dynamics Online in the small business category.          

Established in
1991, the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce is one of the larger and more active
Chambers in the State and serves upwards of 500 members.
