Advocate, Activist and Author Yvonne Pointer at Fairmount Temple, Friday, Aug. 9

Nearly 30  years ago, Yvonne Pointer’s 14-year-old daughter was murdered on the way to school. Since then, this self-described crusader has been an advocate for missing and murdered children and families victimized by violence.  Just weeks after the discovery of three captive Cleveland women, Yvonne also received news that through DNA testing, her daughter’s murderer was identified. Author of three inspirational books, she will share her story at Fairmount Temple during the  Friday, Aug. 9, 6:15 p.m. Kabbalat Shabbat service.  All are welcome.  The service will be followed by an oneg (reception).  The service begins at 6:15 p.m.
