Local LEGO Fans Hope to Set World Record

LEGO store hosts Ninjitzu tournament

LEGO fans will gather at the LEGO Store at the Beachwood Place Mall tomorrow to help break a World Record.

The record: most spinner battles played in a single day.

The game: “Spinjitsu,” a game played with LEGOs and cards created by the toy company that has become popularized on the Cartoon Network series “Ninjago.”

The LEGO store will host battles from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17. Anyone who spins will be counted toward the record.

The store is also seeking volunteers to help count spinners. Anyone who volunteers for two or more hours will receive a 30 percent discount toward store merchandise and anyone who volunteers for four or more hours will get a free lunch or dinner.
