• Mandel JCC is hosting a special film screening of Family in Captivity to draw attention to Gilad Shalit's five years in captivity. Shalit was captured in 2006 by Hamas terrorists while serving in the Israeli army and remains in captivity to this day. The movie starts at 7 p.m. on June 27 at the JCC's Stonehill Auditorium. Tickets are $7.

Caitlin Mann, a 2009 graduate of Hathaway Brown School and a junior at Boston College this fall, was appointed to Cuyahoga County's newly created Public Policy Fellowship Program. She is the youngest member of this eight-person group. All of the other fellows are graduate students.
