Update: Flood Warning Extended for Cuyahoga County

National Weather Service: Flood warning due to melting snow and rain extended to 9 p.m.

Updated 12:10 p.m. Monday: The National Weather Service has extended a flood warning for Cuyahoga County from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. 

According to the NWS, lowland flooding has been reported across the area and streams and rivers are high due to the rain – up to 2 inches in some areas – we got overnight.

Water pooling on roads has also been reported. The NWS recommends that drivers take extra care and look for dips or standing water in the road.

Rain has stopped for the area and no more precipitation is expected until at least Friday. Temperatures will rise to the upper 40s today and highs this week will slowly dip, falling to the mid-30s by Friday.
