Community Leaders Named As Maltz Heritage Award Event Chairs

Larry Pollock -- the managing partner of Lucky Stars LLC -- has been named Event Chair of the Maltz Heritage Award Dinner, which will be this May 30 at the Cleveland InterContinental Hotel.

"It is an honor to be part of this inaugural event," says Pollock, who is also a member of the Maltz Museum Board of Trustees.

The dinner and event will honor the Cleveland Clinic and its CEO and President Dr. Delos M. Cosgrove.

Cosgrove was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in the U.S. Air Force. He has been named Cleveland Clinic’s Master Clinician Award, Innovator of the Year Award and Lerner Humanitarian Award. He is also a member of Cleveland Medical Hall of Fame and Cleveland Business Hall of Fame.

Soon he will be adding the Maltz Heritage Award to these honors.

The Maltz Heritage Award is presented to a person and organization that demonstrates leadership in the Northeast Ohio community and whose values align with the mission of the Maltz Museum - to build bridges of tolerance and understanding with those of other religions, races, cultures and ethnic backgrounds.

"We could not have found a more perfect honoree than Dr. Cosgrove," Pollock said. "The environment he has created at the Cleveland Clinic and his commitment to Northeast Ohio exemplifies the Museum's mission of building bridges of appreciation, tolerance, and understanding."
