Beachwood Temple Rabbi Now Head of National Organization
Rabbi Richard A. Block was recently named president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis.
The senior rabbi at Temple-Tifereth is now the leader of a national Jewish organization.
Richard Block was recently made president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR), according to The Plain Dealer.
Block has been the leader at Temple-Tifereth since 2001, the paper reported, and will have the term as president for two years.

"The CCAR enriches and strengthens the Jewish community by empowering Reform Rabbis to provide religious, spiritual and organizational leadership..." according to the organizations mission statement.
Block has served in other capacities with the organization and is honored to lead it.
