5 Things You Need To Know: This Week

Monday already! We know, we were surprised, too. Start here to plan the week ahead.

Hopefully you had a nice, relaxing weekend: pancakes for breakfast, long walks with the dog, a night out with friends.

But maybe you spent the weekend running errands, cleaning the house, taking the kids to the mall or choir practice and trying to find two seconds to spend with your significant other since Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday.

Whether you were tuned out or too busy to tune in, Beachwood Patch has your back. We’ve been watching the city for you and rounded up the top five things you should know this week.

Find out what's happening in Beachwoodwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

  1. Today is Valentine’s Day. Seriously, we hope you did not forget to plan something special. But if you did, here are a few and a few you might still have the chance to employ.
  2. The city of Beachwood will host – tonight and Tuesday night – to discuss the city’s budget and to hear your comments. Find budget information here before you go.
  3. The Beachwood City Schools Board of Education Stay up-to-date on the latest news and hear from the Superintendent and the Board members.
  4. Recent inductee into the Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame, CNN legal analyst and Cleveland lawyer Avery Friedman will speak with Michael E. Bennett, editor and publisher of the Cleveland Jewish News,
  5. We could see grass this week. Remember what that looks like? We’re looking at temperatures climbing into the 50s by Thursday, and only a couple chances of snow. Get out the flippy-floppies! OK, don’t. But a walk outside might be appropriate.
