Mayor Merle Gorden proclaimed Monday Phil the Fire Day in Beachwood as the embattled restaurateur cut the ribbon on a new location in Beachwood.
Owner Phil Davis' glee was palpable during the ribbon-cutting as he spoke of the support he received from the community over the seven years since he closed his doors after an investor went sour.
Davis told Beachwood Patch that he hopes to open five or six more locations in cities like Chicago, Atlanta and Washington, D.C., over the next 10 years.
