Flowers by Stazzone Featured at Ohio Design Centre Event

The business has served the east side for 52 years

The exposure offered by events like the Ohio Design Centre’s Annual Market Day keeps among the most recognized names in the industry.

The Chagrin Boulevard business will be one of nine in the area whose floral creations will be featured at Market Day. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Ohio Design Centre, but is open to invites only.

"Word of mouth, it's tremendous at events, parties, weddings," owner Tom Stazzone said. "We're showing what we can do."

Though Stazzone adapted to online commerce years ago with a website, the owner isn't the biggest fan floral sales via the Internet. His company is a member of services like Teleflora, but believes most small florists lack the ability to fulfill certain orders.

"It's good and bad, but I have a tendency to think it's bad," he said. "You aggravate people more than you serve. This is a personal service more so than anything."

The small business has served the east side suburbs for 52 years. Stazzone employs five people, including one who has worked there for 44 years.

"You're only as good as your help," Stazzone said.
