Farmers Markets Permitted in Beachwood

Council passes measure to allow farmers' markets

Beachwood City Council approved in Beachwood at Monday's meeting.

The ordinance limits the markets to May through October and restricts the size of the booths, signs and what can be sold. It would also require vendors to get approval from the city planner, police chief and be registered with the state before selling.

The legislation was spurred by a request from the Cleveland Clinic, said Mayor Merle Gorden in December.
