Parnell's is celebrating its 15th anniversary by giving away their glassware

Check back every Friday for Cheap Date: one weekend event or activity that won't break the bank.

Tonight, take your date to Parnell's for a cold one, and leave her with a parting gift.

The  will turn 15 on Feb. 1, and owner Declan Synnott has a challenge for his customers.

He's daring them to drink him out of glassware this Friday night.

Patrons who buy a brew will get to keep a commemorative glass acknowledging the Lee Road establishment's 15th birthday, and he hopes to give them all out tonight.

Synnott, 41, who moved from Ireland to the U.S. in 1994, is hosting the event along with Akron-based Thirsty Dog Brewing Company, which also marks its 15th anniversary this year.

Where: Cedar and Lee Roads, Cleveland Heights

When: Tonight, Friday, Jan. 27 from 5 p.m. until the glasses are gone!

Price: Regular drink prices apply, but the glasses are free!
