Bites Nearby: Maggiano's Little Italy

Don't overlook Italian dining close to home

Maggiano's Little Italy, a business casual restaurant, is attached to the Beachwood Place Mall but has a separate entrance. As you walk in the restaurant is large and bustling, with an elegant staircase to the second floor. There is plenty of seating even during peak periods. The colors are rich and the booths large and comfortable. The menu items are primarily Italian, although there are flavors to please everyone.

Lunch options include starters such as bruschetta, crispy zucchini fritte, and different kinds of flatbreads ($4 to $10). Creamy chicken potato soup and Tuscan sausage & orzo can be ordered individually or as part of a soup and salad combination. There are also entrée like salads such as their Fazio's chopped antipasti salad with prosciutto, salami, pepperoni and provolone ($3 to $13). Sandwiches and other heartier fare round out the lunch menu.

There are three pasta-based categories for dinner: chef’s favorites, classic pastas and specialty pastas. These selections include beef tenderloin medallions, Chef KB's lobster carbonara, and eggplant parmesan. ($13 to $20) An exciting addition to the menu is family-style dining for four or more people (kids ages 5 to 12 included for a reduced price). There is a three-tiered choice of sizes. The dinner includes choices of salads, starters, dinners and desserts. If you choose this option be prepared to linger over your food and savor the endless helpings ($20 to $37).
