Beachwood Native Featured in Twitterstories

Ravi Pina's innovative Twitter account takes stress out of the daily commute

alumnus Ravi Pina is one of the first twenty or so Twitter accounts featured on the site’s new Twitterstories.

The collection of stories behind Tweeters launched Monday and features accounts that have impact on our daily lives.

Pina, a member of the BHS class of 1996 and now a resident of San Francisco, is one of the people who told their story to Twitter for the project.

His Twitter account @caltrain allows users to communicate about train delays and closures on the rail system that runs from San Jose to San Francisco.

“It’s really frustrating not knowing why there’s a train delay,” said Pina in the video. “I wanted to try to find a way to allow users to communicate when the trains will be late or delayed or otherwise not there when they’re supposed to be.”
