Beachwood Company Named to Case's Weatherhead 100

One Wish LLC, the parent company of four e-commerce sites, ranks No. 26 on the list of Northeast Ohio's Fastest Growing Companies

In the '90s, One Wish began as a Cleveland-area jazz band. Now, it's also the name of one of Northeast Ohio's fastest growing companies.

Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead 100 ranked the Beachwood firm No. 26 on its annual list of emerging companies in the region. One Wish is the parent company of four e-commerce websites — Audimute Acoustic Panels, Audimute Soundproofing, Medic Batteries and Retrofit LED Lights.

President Mitch Zlotnik's team of 25 employees operates One Wish's websites, produces its products and ships them from the company's offices at 23495 Mercantile Road, Suite H.

The orders of acoustic sound panels, batteries and soundproofing kept the employees busy — and profitable — in 2012. According to the Weatherhead 100, One Wish grew by 152.4 percent in the last year.

"The theory that talks about how to do the right thing in business and grow — well it works, and this is that theory working," Zlotnik said. "You listen to your customers, you make channels for that feedback to come up and then you respond like nobody's business.

"You respond like you just dropped spaghetti on a brand new, white rug."

Zlotnik's signature and most visible product is the acoustic sound panel. Made of all recyclable materials, the panels serve dual duties as art pieces and solutions that reduce reflected sound and lessen echos reverberation in a room.

The company makes designer, art and custom panels. A visit to One Wish's office displays the variety of panels available — a range that includes vacation photos, portraits and Christmas trees. Audimute can print directly to the panel material, said Zlotnik, who is still a drummer of the One Wish band.

Audimute's clients include restaurants, concert venues and residential customers.

"This was a real surprise and such an honor," Zlotnik said of the Weatherhead 100 ranking. "The companies that were there, I've always admired them and said, 'Wow, how do you do that,' and now we're one of them.

"Here we are."
