Al Roker to Host Celebrity Cook-Off at Benihana
Beachwood Japanese steakhouse will host the fundraiser for the Northeast Ohio Adoption Services
NBC's "Today" co-host Al Roker will be the honorary master chef at the Dave Thomas Celebrity Cook-Off to benefit Northeast Ohio Adoption Services next week.
Roker, former weather anchor at Cleveland's WKYC, is an adoptive parent himself.
''Al Roker is a very energetic, passionate and personable example of an adoptive parent'', said NOAS Executive Director Cindy Deal. ''We hope that his ability to touch and energize so many people will boost public awareness of the joyous gift of adoption and NOAS' value to our local community.''

His appearance at Benihana will follow an afternoon reception at University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center.
Roker is the keynote speaker at the celebrity cook-off, which puts local celebrities behind the grill at the teppanyaki-style restaurant.
