Time is running out on the public's opportunity to see an exhibit that features contemporary work from and inspired by Israel.
The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage's "Israeli Arts and Culture" series ends Sunday. It has been running since late October.
According to Maltz, a highlight is "Bezalel on Tour," an exhibition celebrating the 106th anniversary of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, the oldest higher education academy of art, design and architecture in Israel.
The Bezalel exhibition was curated by Muli Ben Sasson, head of the Ceramics and Glass Design department there. The Maltz exhibition includes "the best of the contemporary works of Bezalel graduates from the last five years from all of Bezalel’s Academic Departments: Fine Arts, Architecture, Photography, Ceramic and Glass Design, Industrial Design, Jewelry and Fashion, Visual Communication and Screen-Based Arts," according to the museum's website.
The local component includes student artwork from the Cleveland Institute of Art.
The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Sunday; and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
