Learn about upcoming events at your local library branch

The Beachwood Public Library will offer a blend of programming for all ages over the next week.

Here's a look at a few events on the upcoming schedule:

  • Tonight — A "Hometown Book Launch" for local author Sam Thomas begins at 7 p.m. Thomas is releasing "The Midwife's Tale: A Mystery," a tale of a woman trying to prove that her friend is innocent in a 1644 murder case. Refreshments are available at the event.
  • Saturday — The library hosts a Chinese New Year event from 2 to 3 p.m. World of Difference will present three folktales that discuss different elements of the holiday. Click here to register for the event.
  • Monday — A "Kindermusik" event will be held for toddlers at 11 a.m. The event is meant to teach parents how music and movement can aid in the development of young children. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring children, ages 1 1/2 to 3 1/2. Register by clicking here. Note: A similar event for babies is scheduled for 10 a.m., but registration is full.
