Cleveland Heights native and current Montefiore nursing home resident was honored Tuesday with an art exhibit showing 15 of his sketches of sports heroes like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Jackie Robinson.

More than 100 people attended the event, although Friedlander was conspicuously absent after being taken to the hospital due to illness the day before.
