Teens Purple Party at Nordstrom
Where/When: , Beachwood Place Mall, Friday 6:30 p.m.
Why Go: Not only will your teen learn tips and tricks from the store’s beauty experts (no more raccoon eyes!) but they’ll be educated about healthy relationships from the Domestic Violence Center.

Presidents Day Celebration
Where/When: Monday, 2 to 3 p.m.
Why Go: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and two Roosevelts will be there. You’ll be happy that your kids will learn something on their day off; the kids will be happy with the cookies and actors with funny white hair.

Free Youth Day at the Great Lake Science Center
Where/When: Great Lakes Science Center, Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Why Go: Kids play free. Check out some of the center’s more than 400 exhibits from the indoor tornado to the polymer funhouse.
