Why Go: This original musical tells that famous story of the wooden boy who hopes to one day become real. Complete with favorite characters, Jiminy Cricket, the Blue Fairy and the rest of the gang.

Why Go: Librarians lead a program of songs, finger plays and stories for 19- to 35-month-olds.

CELEBRATE PURIM WITH FAIRMOUNT TEMPLE’S ANNUAL CARNIVAL
Where/When: / Sunday, March 20 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Why Go: Dress up in costumes and celebrate Purim, when Esther saved the Jews living under Persian rule from the wicked Haman. Sing-alongs and an appearance by Elvis begin at 10:30 a.m. and the annual carnival, complete with games, a petting zoo and food, will be at 11:30 a.m. Everyone, no matter their religious affiliation, is invited.

WEAR GREEN AND SAVE $1 AT CHILDREN’S MUSEUM
Where/When: Children’s Museum, University Circle/ St. Patrick’s Day, Thursday March 17, noon to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Themed snacks and clover pin making are part of the fun as you enjoy everything the Children’s Museum of Cleveland has to offer.
Pricing: $6 per person (if wearing green, $7 otherwise). Free if 11 months or under.
MANGO ON ST. PATTY’S DAY
Where/When: Cleveland Public Library / Thursday, March 17 noon to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy a green smoothie while taking part in a new way to learn foreign languages this St. Patrick's Day. The celebration will include a prize wheel and the Mango program, which simulates learning a foreign language using conversations – the same way people learn when immersed in a culture.
