WATER EXERCISE CLASS
Where/When: Beachwood Family Aquatic Center/ Class meets Tuesday and Thursday, June 14 – July 7, in a four-week session from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy a 45-minute class held in the shallow end of the pool without even getting your hair wet. Instructor Susan Gordan Merdler guides participants on exercises designed to improve stamina, flexibly and circulation.
Price: $48 for residents, $51 for non-residents
Where/When: / Six-week session begins June 12. Classes are on Sundays, 10 to 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. to noon, depending on your schedule.
Why Go: For ages 3 to 4, instructors from Jump Start Sports teach kids the basics of dribbling, shooting and passing. Classes consist of instruction, drills and noncompetitive games.
Price: $65 for residents, $70 for non-residents
MUSIC AND NATURE AT THE GATHERING PLACE
Where/When: The Gathering Place East, 23300 Commerce Park/ From 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 10.
Why Go: Piano music and images of nature are designed to soothe and heal those who attend, presented by GC Creative Studios. The Gathering Place is a resource for those touched by cancer.
BECKY BOYD & THE NATURALS AT HOUSE OF SWING
Where/When: House of Swing, South Euclid/ 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 10
Why Go: Cleveland favorite Becky Boyd has been a mainstay at area clubs for more than 30 years. She’s been nominated several times as best vocalist in the Freetimes and Scene magazines, and has also won several vocalist awards such as Savannah Night Club "Favorite Vocalist of the Year" award.

THE LURE OF PAINTED POETRY: JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART
Where/When: The Cleveland Museum of Art/ All weekend and through the end of August
Why Go: The Cleveland Museum of Art has long prided itself on an extensive Asian art collection, and this exhibit showcases more than 100 pieces of poetry and paintings from Japan and Korea from the late 14th Century.
