Where/When: / Eight-week session begins Saturday and happens every Saturday until July 9 from 10 to 11 a.m. There will be no session on May 28 or July 2.
Why Go: 3- and 4-year-old boys and girls learn the basics of batting off a tee, fielding, throwing and catching before trying out what they’ve learned during competitive games. Parents are encouraged to assist in coaching.
Price: $80 for residents, $85 for non-residents
PASSION FOR FASHION
Where/When: / Four-week session begins Thursday, May 12, and occurs every Thursday until June 2, from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m.
Why Go: This class is for girls in grades 3 to 5 that want to learn the complete clothing design process, from initial concept to sketching and construction.
Price: $80 for residents, $85 for non-residents
MACHINE GUN KELLY AT HOUSE OF BLUES
Where/When: House of Blues / Saturday at 8 p.m.
Why Go: Shaker Heights High grad and up-and-coming rapper Machine Gun Kelly, or MGK, will perform in a concert titled “Home Coming” to promote his mix tape and future album, Lace Up.
Price: $20-$25
Where/When: Cleveland Skating Club / Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: This 74th annual ice skating show will feature Parker Pennington, a local boy and elite competitor in men’s figure skating; Gev Manoukian, break dancer who became famous on season four of So You Think You Can Dance and Wolfgang Bientzle, one of the world’s premier Wheel Acrobats, winning 11 European Championships and eight world championships.
Price: $25 per ticket
