Get Out: Taste of Judaism, a Culinary Battle and 'Mad Men' Cocktail Event

Plan your week around these events for kids and adults

FOURTH ANNUAL JEWISH FOOD AND CULTURE FESTIVAL

Where/When: / Sunday from 11 am. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Learn all about Jewish history through its food! Includes Corky & Lenny’s Matzo Ball Soup, Jack’s Deli latkes, Aladdin’s hummus, Whole Foods Israeli salad, Vienna Hotdogs, Mister Brisket, Chef Dave’s Catering salmon on salad, Hermann’s pickles, chopped liver from Ellen Vendeland and homemade treats. Marx Brothers movie Horse Feathers will also play at 11 a.m., as well as a Jews Telling Jokes contest, game of “Jewpardy” and a raffle.

CADILLAC CULINARY CHALLENGE TEST DRIVE

Why Go: Come watch a competition between Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto in New York City and Marlin Kaplan of Dragonfly in Cleveland, taste some good food and compare Cadillac cars to direct competitors BMW, Lexus and Mercedes.

'MAD MEN' STYLE COCKTAIL PARTY

Where/When: / Thursday at 6 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy complimentary cocktails at this event as Banana Republic unveils its line of clothing inspired by the hit show Mad Men about an advertising firm circa late 1950s.

SHAWN AND MARLON WAYANS

Where/When: Hilarities 4th Street Theater/ Thursday at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and 10:15 p.m. and Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: From their days on In Living Color to the dozens of comedic movies they’ve done since, Shawn and Marlon Wayans have become superstars in the entertainment industry. They perform six shows all weekend.

TIM McGRAW AT BLOSSOM

Where/When: Blossom Music Center/ Friday at 7 p.m.

Why Go: An American country singer and actor, McGraw has topped country music charts with hit albums and unforgettable songs. He’s won three grammys and sold more than 40 million albums. He performs with Luke Bryant and Band Perry.
