Get Out: Mango Taste-Off, Cheesecake Day and Teen Theater

Plan your week around these events for kids and adults

Where/When: / Friday from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Why Go: The Mango Hometown Tour, sponsored by the National Mango Board, will be at Moxie to celebrate the sweet fruit. Chef Steve Schimoler of Crop Bistro & Bar and Chef Jonathan Bennet of Moxie will create seafood dishes paired with fresh mangoes. The National Mango Board and Giant Eagle will also have mango treats to share.

NATIONAL CHEESCAKE DAY AT CHEESCAKE FACTORY

Where/When: Cheesecake Factory in Legacy Village/ Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Why Go: Celebrate National Cheesecake Day with the people who do it tasty. Cheesecake Factory is offering its individual cheesecakes to dine-in customers for half off all day.

PLAYMAKERS YOUTH THEATRE

Where/When: / Thursday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Why Go: Teens from the  Playmakers Youth Theatre will perform a 1950s-style musical revue with dozens of classic rock ‘n’ roll songs.

Price: Free

6th ANNUAL CLEVELAND WINE FESTIVAL

Where/When: Voinovich Bicentennial Park/ Friday 4 to 10 p.m. and Saturday 3 to 9 p.m.

Why Go: More than 270 wines from around the world and food from the area’s best restaurants will all be available. Wine can also be purchased at a discount and everyone with a ticket receives a souvenir wine glass.

Price: $27 in advance or $35 at the door (go to website for tickets). For those not drinking a $10 designated driver ticket includes two non-alcoholic drinks

CLEVELAND INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION

Where/When: Cleveland Playhouse Bolton Theatre, 8500 Euclid Ave./ Thursday through Sunday at 1 and 7 p.m.

Why Go: See the first and second rounds of this annual competition that has graced Cleveland for more than 30 years. All 26 contestants will be competing this weekend to move on to the next round as judged by an international jury. The final four will perform with the Cleveland Orchestra to determine the winner of the $50,000 Mixon First Prize.
