Get Out: Communal Car-Trunk Sale, Kids Cooking and Tumbling

Plan your week around these fun activities

JUST TUMBLING

Where/When: / Six-week session begins Saturday and continues every Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Why Go: Kids ages 5 to 8 develop coordination, strength, flexibility and spatial awareness. A new tumbling routine will be learned each session, taught by staff of Communities in Motion.

Price: $59 for residents, $64 for non-residents

KIDS CAN COOK

Where/When: / Three-week session begins Thursday and occurs every Thursday, 12:40 to 1:40 p.m., until Oct. 6

Why Go: Instructors from Two Crazy Kids teach children ages 4 to 5 cooking basics that they’ll use to make a dinner for their family the first two classes and sweet treats the third class.

Price: $45 for residents, $50 for non-residents

COMMUNAL CAR-TRUNK SALE

Where/When: / Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Dozens of families will be selling items from their vehicles. Refreshments will also be sold, as well as face painting and sidewalk chalking for kids.

Price: Free

INGENUITYFEST 2011

Where/When: Veterans Memorial Bridge/ Friday 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday noon to 1 a.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.

Why Go: The seventh annual festival packs technology, music and art into three fun-filled days. Featuring  more than 100 musical acts, including Cloud Nothings and Washed Out. Comedic acts include local sketch comedy group Last Call Cleveland, native Clevelander and current NYC resident Jim Tews, as well as headliners Michael Palascak and Al Jackson.

Price: Free

2011 TREMONT ARTS & CULTURAL FESTIVAL

Where/When: Tremont Neighborhood/ Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Why Go: The 13th Annual festival returns to Lincoln Park and includes children’s art and educational projects, food, and arts from local artists. The festival will also have music and dance performances Saturday and Sunday on a main stage.
