BEGINNER FOOTSKILLS SOCCER

Where/When: / Six-week session begins Wednesday, Sept. 7 and occurs every Wednesday from 3:20 to 4:20 p.m.
Why Go: Kids learn basic soccer skills and technique in a fun-filled environment.
Price: $99 for residents and $104 to non-residents
CLEVELAND POP “ACTUAL MUSIC” LESSONS IN MUSIC & DANCE
Where/When: Cleveland POPS Orchestra Office, 24000 Mercantile Road, Unit #8/ Six-week session is every Thursday, Sept. 8 to Oct. 20 from 4:15 to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Professional musicians and educators will teach singing, dance and rudiments of reading music. The class, which provides take-home materials and live participation, is for children ages 5 and 6.
Price: $60 for residents, $65 for non-residents
Where/When: Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds/ Friday 5 to midnight, Saturday and Sunday noon to midnight and Monday noon to 9 p.m.
Why Go: The annual festival features authentic German food, beer and entertainment
Price: $10 ($8 when purchased online). Children under 12 get in free.
RICK SPRINGFIELD AT AKRON CIVIC THEATRE
Where/When: Akron Civic Theatre/ Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
Why Go: Known for wanting “Jesse’s Girl” and his role on General Hospital, Australian-born Rick Springfield plays in Akron for one night only. Opening acts The Motels and Kasim Sulton also perform.
