Revisit the Maltz in July: Free Admission July 4th and More!

Didn’t give yourself enough time to experience the Maltz Museum’s  permanent collection An American Story on your last visit?  Unaware of The Temple-Tifereth Israel Gallery?  No chance to browse through the Museum Store?  This July, rediscover the Museum of Jewish Heritage with special admission rates and a spectacular Museum Store sale!

Independence Day Free Admission – Friends and family can escape the heat (or rain) this Fourth of July and see the Museum’s permanent collections for free.  In An American Story, visitors will step inside a world filled with inspiring and moving stories of Jewish immigrants and their impact on Cleveland’s history.  Many miss The Temple-Tifereth Israel Gallery on their first visit. The gallery features an awe-inspiring selection from The Temple Museum of Religious Art’s exceptional collection of art and artifacts from around the world.  The Museum will be open regular hours, 11am – 5pm.

$5 Fridays – Starting Friday, July 5, Maltz Museum admission is only $5 for all adults, seniors, and students.  Offer good every Friday through the end of September.

Items include one-of-a-kind hand-painted wooden gifts from Israel, pewter and glass works from American artists, books, CD’s, menorahs, and more.  Shoppers can also register to win a $100 gift certificate on a future purchase.  Museum admission not required to visit the Museum Store.

Drop-In Tours at 2pm – Enhance your visit to An American Story or The Temple-Tifereth Israel Gallery with a new set of docent-led Drop-In Tours starting July 16. On Tuesdays, join us for Let Us Entertain You, a tour looking at Jews in American theatre, movies, and entertainment.  On Thursdays visitors can take a Treasures of the Temple Gallery tour of magnificent Jewish art and artifacts.  Still available are the traditional Drop-Ins on Wednesdays and Sundays where guests can get brief overview tour of the entire permanent collection of the Museum.  Tours last 45 minutes and are free with Museum admission.
