Democrats are Goosestepping

Some people are deaf, blind and dumb when it comes to politics and being democrat. These liberals don’t want to think, or hear the other side. They just babble on about their side with their mouths drooling open wide. Oh say what you want Democrat liberals that republicans do the same, but how do you know?

Democrat robots do not want to think. They go to the polls with their Democrat designed list of candidates provided by the party to vote. It’s harder to change the political mind of a democrat than it is to change his or her religion. Once a democrat, probably always.

After Wednesday’s Presidential debate which Mitt Romney won with energy, intelligence, plans and pride in America, the cameras panned to viewers. Even with the bad, horrible debating of Obama, democrats stayed true to this loser.

How can Democrats allow people like Bill Clinton, with his indiscretions, to stand on a stage to represent them? Find a rally and the list of Democrat dividers might include the disgusting likes of liars and losers like Al “green energy” Gore, Sharpton and Jackson, lifetime government paid Sherodd Brown (has he ever had a real job?), Kerry “the billionaire Heinz husband and NOT war hero,” Reid, Pelosi and on and on. With most of the Kennedys dead, Caroline was the only namesake to add to the pack. But Democrats want us to think they care.

One wonders what does the Democratic party have to offer? Caring, feeling, with hugs and tears and lots of empathy? Today’s democrats sure aren’t the democrats of 40 years ago. Today these Democrats are hateful, racists, angry dividers creating the victimization of America through government.

Got a problem? Let the government fix it by America paying. Democrats care about their people, so they want all of us to believe. Yet, they voted out “God” at the Democrat National Convention, expect the Catholic Church to follow Obamacare’s abortion and birth control mandate, cut senior citizens Medicare by $700 million and have not found jobs for 23 million people.

Democrats don’t want to hear it. They might learn something that is alien to their political religion. As they goose step through their lives, they do not seem to see that America’s economy stinks under this president. Yet, they will take their Democrat voting sheets to the polls to vote  and be happy.

You sure do have the nerve to call Democrats all that you did by exactly acting like what you accused the Democrats of being! Kathleen, please stop acting like a spoiled kid who doesn't get their way. Why don't you try using your gray matter and hold a healthy discussion? It's really the immature people like you that make the Republicans look bad. Your article is full of lies and those who do their research know it.
- $700 million is cut from the provider side of Medicare and NOT from the benefits side. These exact same $700 million cuts are in the Romney/Ryan plan.
- Goose-stepping refers to marching Nazis. Your comment is absolutely racially biased and not called for. Try to learn some History.
- Why should the gov't bend to the Catholic Church or any Religion for that matter? I am a devout Lutheran but do believe in the separation of Church and State. I have many Catholic, Jewish, Protestant, Mormon, Buddhist and atheist friends. The USA is not a Theocracy nor should it ever be.
- President Clinton did have indiscretions in his personal life. Doesn't the Bible state "He who is without Sin cast the first stone"? Where were any of the previous Republican Presidents at the RNC???? It seems they were swept under the rug...
Kathleen, you are the one with the problem. I have never seen one post from you in the past that has not been full of hate and lies. Try writing a post with some class and facts. You won't win over anyone with name calling. This isn't the 3rd grade.

curt I find it funny that you defend the democratic party ,church and state and bill clinton but you never brought up Obama

Curt Fell

Tom, defending Obama was implied. Kathleen's post above is aimed mainly at Democrats and how we are all dumb, racist, ignorant, etc. She also made the statement "Once a democrat, probably always". What an ignorant comment. I know many Democrats that switched to Independent. I vote for whomever I think the best candidate is and have voted both Republican and Democrat. I used to be a die-hard Republican, voted for Reagan 2x and Bush Sr 2x. The Republicans turned me away during President Clinton's first term; therefore, I voted for Clinton for his 2nd term. And ever since, the Republicans in office have showed that they are more interested in their party-line than what is best for the USA as a whole. Even Reagan would be too liberal for today's republican party and that is a shame.

everything you stated I actually agree with ....and I wish everyday that hilary had won ....it is my hope that nobody votes early until these next few debates (Ryan Biden I think is going to be a telling tale)

"After Wednesday’s Presidential debate which Mitt Romney won with energy, intelligence, plans and pride in America, the cameras panned to viewers. Even with the bad, horrible debating of Obama, democrats stayed true to this loser."

oh, right. because obama supporters should have just jumped ship because he didn't debate so well, even though they agree with his ideas and plans. totally makes sense. especially when they consider the about-face that romney did that night, and all the lies he told. definitely who i want in charge.

also, curt's got a great point: your blog posts spew nothing but hate and lies. this one is literally the pot calling the kettle black.

The American people need to look at the real facts and not sound bite ads or two-minute response debates. Look at the policies. The Republicans are for tax breaks to the richest, eradicate Medicare, eliminate student loans, cut Social Security, cut worker safety, send more jobs overseas, cut environmental and health protection laws including food and drug inspection cutbacks, eliminate all pensions, eliminate minimum wage, cut back oversight of Wall Street. The Democrats just the opposite.

You're very insulting to Dems.... And people in general.......which shows you don't have any class either...with all the attacks you post in this bloggggggggg...........

Dear Kent Patch - What is the vetting process for allowing someone to host a blog? Are there guidelines to be followed?

I have read blogs on your site from both sides of the aisle and many engage in healthy debate and occasionally make me think. However, Ms. Wilhelm's ongoing commentary is not only divisive but downright hateful. Additionally they are usually full of incorrect grammar and punctuation.

Ms. Wilhelm's rantings would make even the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Bill Maher cringe.

James Thomas

I don't think Bill Maher has the ability to cringe, he has no shame.

OK, I get that Kathleen is picturing herself as some sort of local Glenn Beck, but that doesn't make her blogs seem any less crazy. Glenn Beck is crazy and that is why he finally crossed too many lines and was taken off the air. It isn't exactly a badge of honer to be the rabid dog in the community.

Badge of "honer"? It is to laugh, you can't even spell honor much less understand it.

Was it the spelling police or a Freudian slip on your part, illustrating what you believe?

A Freudian slip... when somebody accidentally says something that they really meant. So you think that I meant "badge of honer." "Honer" isn't even a word, so your attempt to spin a typo into a Freudian slip, has also failed.

Imho, this person's blog postings detract from the public discourse..
I'd like to see the Patch restrict this person's posting priveledges. They chose not to post one of my blogs, so they have a process in place.

What was your blog about?
I thought having a blog was equivalent to one stating an opinion, in essay form. So, a reader could choose to read it or not.
So, I'm surprised that they would not allow yours.

I named the names of a person or two who had double-crossed me in public.

I knew it was borderline stuff. This person's stuff is outright garbage, though.

It's weird how by referring to a large group, she can write this hateful stuff, and avoid the "personal attacks" label.

But I'm Jewish, and the notion of "Goosestepping" for anyone is pretty goddam offensive. The rest of her screed is just as bad.

Rex When I see someone post "this person's blog postings detract from the public discourse..

Mr. Kanter,
you're also an adult so get used to living with disappointment and having lines you don't like being crossed being abused. That being said, "never again" does mean something to me. So does "if not now......?" You could find friends in the strangest places.

We should ban any word that anyone finds offensive at any time. We should ban anyone from blogging who uses any words that offend anyone. We should also burn books that contain offensive words, cancel any TV shows that use any words that may be offensive, censor offensive language from the radio airwaves, and put spies in public to make sure nobody ever says anything that could be considered offensive in their private lives. There could be fines for offensive language that would certainly pay for the deficit. If we could only police people's thought!

Everyone would certainly be happy then and the public discourse would be so much better.

As usual, tremendous hypocrisy displayed by a far-right observer (for the record, I'm firmly Independent and have NEVER voted party lines. Proof? I voted Obama and Kasich).

Kathleen, to suggest to that everyone should change their minds because Mitt performed well in the debates is pure insanity. His 'debate platform' is in no way consistent with what he's said out on the campaign trail for well over a year. I still don't know what he actually stands for. Feel free to disagree with Obama's policies, he's at least consistent (and he's not perfect here either).

And to then attack the moral fiber of Democrats in general....wow. Because there's never been a Republican scandal of any kind has there?

Using the term 'goose-stepping' is simply in poor taste. You exercised your freedom of speech, and now I'm exercising my freedom to make a decision about you based on that speech. Do you really understand what Fascism is? It seems you do not. Here's a hint - neither candidate is anywhere close to those concepts. In fact, the Tea Party is the closest thing we have in the US to a Fascist movement.

Grow up, try to actually learn something, and think for yourself.

In Fact, the closest thing to a Fascist "Cult of Personality" in America today, is President Obama and the Democratic Party with it's Pravda Media and its slavish devotion to redistribution of wealth.

Do you always use words you don't know the meaning of James? Good God -- if breathing wasn't a involuntary behavior, you would've died long ago because you're obviously too freaking ignorant to do it on your own.

When was the last time you lived in a country with a fascist government? And a socialist government? Or know what Pravda Media is?

Oh, never. That's what I thought. This shows how borderline brain-dead you and other poster children for staying in school (today's Republican Party). There are die-hard liberals who CONSTANTLY complain because BHO is moderate in THEIR eyes.

This is why people like you look so stupid (or in your case, more stupid, but don't worry -- not as stupid as Kathleen, the writer of this blog) when you love to call BHO is such a socialist and we're on our way to a socialist society. If we are, BHO's doing it all wrong.

James,
- Name one thing that President Obama has put forth that is Socialist?
- Does Socialism = Communism?
- Is the USA a pure Democracy?
- What is fascism?

I was born in 1964 and have not only lived thru the history since then but have actually lived outside the USA in a Socialist country (Germany), a Fascist country (Serbia under Milosevic) and a Communist country (Viet Nam). I commend you on your Masters Degree but all the reading in the world does not equate the actual experience of living it personally. Reading about Concentration Camps does not equal actually stepping into one, peering into the gas chambers and the charred ovens and feeling the ghosts. Nor does it equate to talking to actual survivors of the war from all sides - talking english or german to the death camp survivors; talking to US & British veterans; talking in german to German soldiers that survived, talking to US, British and Germans that actually lived thru WWII as children or soldiers; talking to US and Vietnamese that fought or lived thru Viet Nam war. Reading about Communism doesn't equal actually being followed and watched. Reading about Fascism does not equal living under a Fascist regime. Reading about Socialism does not equal the experiences of living in a Socialist society.

She is trying to get your attention by the basest means- a liberal sprinkling of insults and outrage, but no substance, no forethought, and no solutions. Does the Patch plant such "writers" in order to gain more clicks, and thereby, more ad revenue? Maybe.

Both parties are flawed, but we are still in a worldwide fiscal crisis caused by a 30 year credit boom going bust so it's the new normal.

We need tax reform (here's one big proposal from Romney: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-10-03/romney-17-000-deduction-cap-first-of-three-part-proposal.html) and spending reforms including entitlements.

And we need new or more health care reforms focused on controlling costs including malpractice reform (just reducing defensive medicine helps), consumer incentives and more.

“Most people don’t realize Medicare covers much less than traditional employer plans,” Sunit Patel, senior vice president in Fidelity’s benefits consulting group. “The $240,000 number captures the Part B premium for physician services, Part D for prescription drugs. Then there are deductibles and coinsurance, and benefits that are not covered like vision exams, hearing aids.”

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/06/your-money/planning-for-retirement-dont-forget-health-care-costs.html?ref=business

Medicare only pays 80% of the costs to providers and plans to cut more.

We need long term reforms from both parties.
