Beachwood City Council will consider hiring Brad Sellers as Interim Economic Development Director at tonight’s meeting.

Sellers has managed day-to-day economic development operations in the city since May 2010, when Beachwood hired contractors to strategize economic development.

Sellers was voted mayor of Warrensville Heights in November, where he served as economic development director. If the measure is approved, Sellers would serve until May 2012.

SZD Whiteboard was contracted to write an economic development strategy for the city. The report included an economic development department and director, which the city did not employ last year.

City council will meet in Beachwood City Hall tonight at 7 p.m.
