Just wish the guy would pay for these trips out of campaign funds. Taxpayers have enough of a burden

I agree, campaigning needs to be done with campaign funds.

well, even though taxpayers do end up paying some of it, they don't pay all. an incumbent president is responsible for reimbursing expenses used for campaigning (mainly, air force one). and under new laws passed, obama's actually paying a much larger percentage than other incumbents have.

and both candidates/running mates have secret service and motorcades which we're paying for.

Can you tell me how Obama's campaign activities differ from his predecessors that were running for re-election?

Why do people think Obama is doing a good job? Unemployment over 8% for 43 months with more people out of work now then when he took office. Median family income is down $4,000.
Why would a FIRST-TERM senator who spent most of that first term running for another office know how to run anything, especially the world's largest economy.
Mitt Romney ran a company, he ran something as large as the Olympics, he ran a state. Obama ran NOTHING!!!!!!!!

But now he HAS run the USA for nearly 4 years, so the past is the past.

Hey Jeff-
The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of this country was recently downgraded to 1.3%.
This is abysmal. The upcoming jobs report will show America to have a 44th month of unemployment over 8%. When you figure in those that have given up looking for work, it's closer to 19%. THAT is abysmal.

Median Family Income has dropped $4,000 under Obama. More people are out of work now then when Obama took office.

The above are the facts. Why are some Americans continuing to support a president who's only experience was as a US Senator in his first term, who spent most of that first term running for higher office. Before that he was a state senator in his first term who voted "present" over 100 times instead of a yea or nay vote.

Romney has run a business, a successful Olympics and a state.
One has "Executive Experience" , the other is still trying to figure out what that is after almost 4 years.

Maybe they should sell tickets on AF1 to defray the costs? Sell 20 first class tickets at $10,000/hr and turn a profit!

You're paying for their free cell phones every month. It's part of your phone bill.

French, since you seem knowledgeable on the issue, specifically which itemized fee or tax on our phone bill is going towards the free cell phones?

STOP TALKING ABOUT OBAMA PHONES!!! It is part of a free telecommunication act that was passed in 1996 for people on disability, social security, and low income families, that used to be based in the government paying people's phone bills, but, was recently updated to offer cell phones instead of landlines. 1996!!!!!! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH OBAMA!!!! Learn the facts before you start ranting and raving lies.

Who's talking about OBAMA phones? I never heard them called that until I watched that hysterical lady in the video screaming about them to justify voting for Obama.

Patrice, to be clear - the program called "Lifeline" originated in 1984 subsidizing landlines. Then the cellphones were added to the program in 2008. In 2008 that program cost the taxpayers $772 million, yet in 2011 that grew to $1.6 billion and is full of fraud. An audit in 2011 found hundreds of thousands of subscribers of this Lifeline program receiving two or more phones from multiple service providers. It does have something to do with Obama, like it or not.

Also, he's the president people. He isn't allowed to fly unless it's on Airforce one! That's not his choice. That's the way it's been for years.

The relevance about the "Obama Phones" and the screaming lady, is that is points out that there are people who have absolutely no clue what they are talking about, and why they are voting for the people they are. That lady is the role model for the uneducated voter out there - who thinks Obama is the greatest thing since sliced bread, because she's got a free cell phone.

It also supports Romney's 47% comment that here we have a voter that no matter what he says or does, she's going to vote for the man who she thinks gives her a handout.

Do you think Obama is a good guy and a straight shooter? Read on, please:
Obama has been an economic disaster the last four years, and this Benghazi disgrace is completely unacceptable... This country does not reward failure and dishonesty out of the White House...

You see, it's easy to run on a slogan, like Obama did in 2008... Hope and change, baby... It's much harder to do once you have a record that can be reviewed... He also said in 2008 that if he didn't get the job done in four years, that it would be a one term deal... Well, he hasn't delivered, so time to let him keep his word... Romney/Ryan 2012
