the CNN poll was the nail in the obama election ...........to use a +11 democrat oversample just to declare the race was tied was the biggest grasping at straws to try propping up the base ever seen

CNN has been horrible this election. Always talking about Romney's "tax cut" to the wealthy, while ignoring the facts his proposal will eliminate many loopholes, deductions, exemptions, etc.
"Romney's idea for capping individuals’ tax deductions at $17,000 would impose a burden that would fall hardest on the wealthiest taxpayers, who make the most use of the breaks."
I think ironic that we were all focused on Romney's, Buffet's and other wealthy folks low tax rates just a few weeks ago. The reason the wealthy pay such low rates is because of our outdated/bloated tax code. Imagine those making over $1 million paying a flat rate of 20% vs 14%, etc.
Also, remember the original purpose of the Alternative Min Tax - It was to make sure "rich" paid min? Now loaded with loopholes so hits middle class.
We need tax reform to broaden tax base and simplify.
That will remove a huge amount of uncertainty that is negatively impacting the economy. Businesses cannot make long term decisions (including hiring) with such uncertainty about tax policy and fiscal policy.
The President needs to propose his own tax and spending reforms asap to help us move forward.
The senate has failed to provide a budge in YEARS! and the President has been silent.
There has been so much spin from the media. Pathetic.

and to brag about the October Jobs report also did not help Obama
with the unemployment rate ticking up to 7.9 percent but the economy adding a better-than-expected 171,000 jobs.
At the same time, the number of unemployed grew by 170,000, roughly the same amount -- to 12.3 million. .......................really !!! +1,000 jobs gained thats 20 jobs per state or 1 new job for every 4 counties in ohio

I'm hoping that Beth Norquist, Jean Hoffman, Mark Peterson, Joseph Robert, Joe Bobby and all those others are hit with a sudden miraculous cure - that all their personalities are merged into the one that they really are and then that one person/entity/group can disappear.

For all of you people from out of state who have no interest in our area other than to spread spam and propaganda, quit monopolizing this article so those of us who live here can talk among ourselves. Many of us, not just me, have not participated on the Patch as before because you unwelcome intruders have done nothing but bog down these articles.
I hope our NE Ohio Patch editors have been paying attention to who has been posting on these articles over the past couple of months and realizes it has been taken over by people with agendas, and in many ways does not adhere to its own terms - several places in the terms can be used as grounds for deleting comments, and they should have been, so we could have been having our own friendly or unfriendly debates with our neighbors. Instead, your own local readers have left.
To everyone, please read what this article is about:
"Join the conversation and see what other Northeast Ohioans are saying about Election Day 2012."
Leave at least this one to those living in the area.

Rather bad when 4 out of 8 people commenting so far are from out of state. And 2 of them are really the same person posting spam, the same messages usually containing links, over and over, on this and other Patch across the country.
This needs to stop. Is this what the Patch was meant to generate in the comment section????

If I watch cable news, its CNN. But for debates and tonight, I like to see what FOX and MSNBC also have to say. Every time I do this, you can, as we all know, tell the politics of those 2. But, at least on FOX they always have MANY more people representing the other side discussing their position. I keep giving MSNBC a chance, but so often they will have the host and then 2 or 3 others all supporting the same side of an issue. They so seldom give airtime to the other side, so how can you get the whole story? On FOX, you or I may not agree with that stations views on everything, but at least you have the chance to hear the other sides and can make a somewhat informed decision. How did FOX ever get such a bad reputation when MSNBC abuses it so much more, and much of their time is spent bashing Fox, trying to put them down thinking that their viewers will hate FOX more?

As long as you believe that, Lyn, that's all that matters.
8:50 pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2012
There is definitely a bias on both FOX and MSNBC, but as a viewer, I would like to see people representing both sides of an issue - that's all I'm saying. And after watching each cover the 3 debates and so far tonight, there is a big difference. But, I guess if you are a MSNBC viewer and you only want to hear what the Dems have to say, then that is your choice. Personally, I'd rather hear both sides and then decide what I believe. That's why I prefer CNN.
