No. 4 Top Story of 2012: Cedar Creek Grille Comes to La Place
Plans for a "simple, classic American grill" were finalized in the spring, opened in November.
Ricky Doody told the Beachwood planning commission in April he planned to open The Cedar Creek Grille by September.
While it was delayed until November, talk of the new restaurant took Beachwood by storm.
The restaurant includes renovations and an expanded patio in the 6,200-square-foot space that housed Melange until early this year.
Doody and his family have owned Lindey's Restaurant and Bar, an upscale new-American restaurant and bar in Columbus, for 30 years.
The restaurant opened for business on Nov. 7 but Doody and his family have "no interest" in making the Cedar Creek Grille a chain.
"It's a great market. We know the market well," said Doody in April, who hails from Hunting Valley.
The menu is described as simple and fairly limited: grilled fish, ham and cheese sandwiches. They'll be open for dinner seven days a week and possibly weekend brunch.
