The Beachwood Board of Education voted to approve the hire of Sherry Miller as principal of Hilltop Elementary School at this morning's meeting.
The vote was 4-0. One member, Mitchel Luxenburg, was absent.
Miller was the principal of the Gearity Professional Development School in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District.
"She is a proven leader in the areas of curriculum, professional development, supervision, and community relations," Beachwood Schools Superintendent Rich Markwardt wrote in a memo to the community this morning.
Miller will replace Michael Molnar, who announced last month that he had accepted a job in Lorain County.
