Please tell Romney to keep the details coming.

We understand politicians always withhold a lot of details when it comes to painful decisions (we need tax reform and entitlement reforms and both include "third rails"), but we need more from both. However, Romney has started disclosing some details that I thought would interest you. Here's a big one:

"Romney's idea for capping individuals’ tax deductions at $17,000 would impose a burden that would fall hardest on the wealthiest taxpayers, who make the most use of the breaks."

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-10-03/romney-17-000-deduction-cap-first-of-three-part-proposal.html

We need tax reform to broaden tax base and simplify.

That will remove a huge amount of uncertainty that is negatively impacting the economy. Businesses cannot make long term decisions (including hiring) with such uncertainty about tax policy and fiscal policy.

The President needs to propose his own tax and spending reforms asap to help us move forward.

The senate has failed to provide a budge in YEARS! and the President has been silent. BOTH candidates need to offer more details on tax reform AND spending reforms. And by long term I include the 40 trillion in long term unfunded liabilities (google "Are we rich or poor? CNBC" to see a good debate OR read Alice Rivlin's groups info or just google "CBO entitlement projection"). There is way too much uncertainty for the economy. We need much more clarity from Washington.

Just the Facts

7:17 pm on Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Republican policies and spending from 2000 to 2009 produced less than a total of 1 million new jobs and created 11 Trillion in debt. The party never took responsibility for this debacle. The Propaganda machine arm of the Republican Party (aka Fox News) began to immediatley accuse the President of causing the "Great Ression". What gall it takes to tell lies as fact and then to accuse the "Fact Checkers" of lying when they debunk those lies. The world saw this played out before. It was called the rise of the Nazi Party. Be careful America, these people are paralleling what the Nazi Party did. Just check the Facts.

11 Trillion in debt was NOT added from 2000-2009

America's National Debt was $5 Trillion when Bush took office. Bush added just over $5 Trillion... you do know the difference between DEBT and DEFICIT right?

Our National Debt was LESS than $11 Trillion in 2009... Our National Debt when George Bush took office (he took office in 2001) was over $5 Trillion... Where did you get $11 Trillion from 2000-2009??? That isn't mathematically possible!

Around $6 Trillion from 2001-2009... ***

Portman said that Obama has got nothing better to run on than Big Bird.

Christie got the crowd fired up with the "Four more weeks" chant. He said that it's time to send Obama back to Chicago.

Romney talked about the ways that he wants to help small business and entrepreneurs, and the items that he mentioned in the debate.

There were probably another 10,000 people who had to watch from outside because the local authorities only provided 6 TSA scanners. The event probably would have been close to 30k if everyone could have gotten in.

wow, nazi's? 11 trillion in debt in 9 years. it took 230 plus years the national debt to climb to 10 trillion. obama has added 5 trillion in his four long years. OH WAIT....THIS IS ALL BUSH'S FAULT. Bush is very poweful, look at all he is responsible for, four years after leaving office.

JUST THE FACTS: Our National Debt was over $5 Trillion (5.4) when President Bush took office. 8 years of Clinton...

It was over $10 Trillion (10.4) when Obama took office. 8 years of Bush...

TODAY it is $16.1 Trillion. LESS than 4 years of Obama!!!

Republican Leaders Agree that Mitt Romney Cannot Be Trusted

“If Governor Romney would like to give back all the money that he has earned from bankrupting companies and laying off employees, over his years at BAIN, then I would be glad to then listen to him. “
-Newt Gingrich, Republican leader and former Speaker of the US House of Rep.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoWkmYrp818

“I have never seen a guy (Romney), and I have run a lot of elections supported a lot of people for political office. I have never seen a guy change his positions on so many things so fast, on a dime.”
- Rudy Giuliani, Republican leader
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av3q7-a-ayc&feature=player_embedded#!

“This is someone (Romney) who doesn’t have a core. He has been on both sides of almost every single issue... “
–Rick Santorum, Republican leader and former Republican Senator
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av3q7-a-ayc&feature=player_embedded#!

“He’s (Romney) certainly being dishonest about his own record! When he says that he had the endorsement of the NRA, he did not. When he says he didn’t raise taxes, and in fact, there were $500 million in fees raised during this time. When he talks about my record or John McCain’s. He’s making up stuff, it’s just incredible. In Arkansas, we call it DISHONESTY.”

Obama started with $1.84 in gas prices, now they are $3.60. Romney promises energy independence by 2020. If you do not want to spend $1,000 more a year to drive your car vote Romney.

It was 1.84 because the economy was in a free fall when Obama started his term. Do you remember the cost of gas in 2008 before the great recession?

Before gas hit that rock-bottom level in 2009, it was nearly as high as it is now.

I keep logs of my personal costs. I paid $1.449/gal on 12/10/08, and if you look back just 3 months before that, I paid $3.739/gal on 9/13/08.

So if you want to continue the hyperbole, you could say that Bush "allowed" the gas prices to rise from ~$1.75/gal near the end of 2004, to almost $4.12 in the summer of 2008.

Here is the way I hear Romney.............
Point #1: We will fracture the earth WITHOUT REGARD FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONSEQUENCES so we can have more jobs. We will take away the protective regulations and RAPE THE EARTH REPEATEDLY in the name of economics.
Point #2: We will make it possible for business to do WHATEVER THEY WANT, HOWEVER THEY WANT, without regard for employee HEALTH, SAFETY or WELFARE. We will reduce taxes for business owners SO THAT THEY MAY LIVE A RICHER, FULLER LIFE at the expense of their employees.
Point #3: We will repeal Obamacare so that the INSURANCE COMPANIES THAT FINANCED MY CAMPAIGN ARE REWARDED FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS. We will say "to hell with poor folks, sick folks, or those unable to defend themselves against the world AS WE WILL REDEFINE IT".
"I will open up trade to Latin America............" Now let me see......How will that make American jobs ? The market will flood with LATIN AMERICAN MADE goods to augment the Chinese imports. Who in the poor countries of Latin American can afford U.S. made goods ? What a line of crap.
AND.........Cristie is just a blowhard. Why would any clear thinking individual put any stock in that windbag ?

Think about this...What makes people think a First-Term senator who spent most of that First-Term running for another office, is qualified to oversee the world's largest economy?
Not only that, he was a First-Term state senator who spent most of that First-Term running for another office.
And you wonder why he was lost without TOTUS (teleprompter of the United States.

You make these taxation issues so clear! Do you provide services on tax litigations or IRS audit and appeals? In case you do, I wish your contacts to appear in my directory of tax attorneys. Submission is absolutely free and you will be listed in a category related to your state. For example, look at the section of Ohio tax attorneys http://attorney-online.info/dir/tax/ohio/910 I try to provide as many information as possible to facilitate the choice of appropriate tax lawyers.

The people of the state of Ohio need to know that the republicans are a BIG part of the prescription drug abuse problem we have . Florida is one of the worst states for prescription drug abuse . The republicans in Florida fought for over 7 years against the database . First they claimed privacy issues and when that did not fly, they went on to budget issues . Under severe pressure they passed a watered down version of a database . The doctors are not required to report the controlled substance scripts they write . The drug dealers love this . They can go to 10 doctors a day and get as many scripts as they want . They pay cash and there is no paper trail . This country needs a national prescription drug database , not just state by by state . Just like we have a national drivers license database . In Florida the republicans would only pass the watered down database if the tax payers did not have to pay for it . They figure the cost to be 1 million a year to keep the database on line , so do the math . I dont believe anyone other than the republicans would disagree to pay for it. The money was never the issue anyway . The issue is that the republicans protect the profits the drug companies and doctors make . For this one reason alone I would never vote for a republican . Please vote for Obama in 2012 .

do some homework of your own and look up the definition of propaganda and spam, then you will clearly see that it doesn't take a member of either party to qualify your comment as such; not an insult, calling it what it is

Mike Chubre

As far as people sending facts from far away and not in your area. Why should you have a problem with this ? You should be happy to know what the reps are doing , no matter where they are . If someone wrote to my area with information , I would be happy to read it. I think the old saying "Truth Hurts" applies here in this case. Why would you try and stop people from spreading facts that are true and could end up being the same in your county or state ? Just because you dont like the facts I sent, and you are unable to counter because its the truth , dont try and cover for your party . .

thank you, but i'm capable of factchecking and researching both sides without being influenced by someones agenda; like watching a tv ad, they will only give one side, and i prefer to see both and come to my own conclusions; and, if they agree with your position or not, so be it
