Menorah To Be Lit at Eton

Annual free event Latkes & Lights features huge menorah, Beachwood mayor, refreshments.

Eton Chagin Boulevard's annual menorah lighting will be Dec. 10.

The free annual event, sponsored by Chabad of Cleveland and the Fromovitz Jewish Learning Academy, will be at 6 p.m. followed by entertainment, arts and crafts, a raffle, and traditional Hanukkah refreshments.

The menorah will be located Menchie's and Barnes and Noble.

“Chanukah's a time for celebrating the freedom to openly celebrate our values. This Menorah reminds us and the world of that message,” said Rabbi Moshe Gancz, Director of the Fromovitz Jewish Learning Academy and Program Director at the Waxman Chabad Center in Beachwood.

He added, “A little bit of light dispels much darkness. With all the troubles experienced in Israel recently, the Jewish nation needs increased unity and good deeds to light up the world. I hope that seeing this Menorah displayed publicly will bring Jewish pride to all Jews and inspire them to join in practicing the Chanukah holiday.”
